Old Hall Yard, Much Hadham
Old Hall Yard is a currently vacant plot which includes a number of sheds previously used as workshops for a car repair business. This use is now defunct and we are proposing a sustainable self-build home in its place. Full planning application scheduled for Spring 2025
The continuous projecting eaves offers a covered route leading you to the building entrance, beyond which the house is divided between public and private domains. The walls are “make do and mend”; they are rude and roughly pointed, reflecting their nature as re-found and re-used materials, similar to the existing sheds. The soffit and roof above is the opposite; it is crisp, exactly constructed and highly articulated.
