The client had asked for a small rear extension; not full width. We wanted to create something that, though compact, would reflect the scale and materials of the original house. To emphasise height and simplicity we designed the extension as a series of full height brick panels separated by full height door units. The proportion of the sliding doors also adds to the vertical emphasis.
